Hi everyone! These are the reference patterns for my youtube tutorial. I highly recommend watching the "materials & notes" section of the video and the demonstrations first. You can use these organizers to store craft supplies (like yarn, hooks, stationary), makeup, jewelry, trinkets, or just about anything! Happy crocheting & lots of love as always <3
Abbreviations:
ss - slip stitch / sc - single crochet
1. Pouch, basket, & pencil holder (use the same pattern but adjust the number of rounds to get the size you want!)
Part 1: circular base (stop crocheting increase rounds when you have the size you want)
Round 1 - 8 sc
Round 2 - 2 sc in every stitch (total 16)
Round 3 - 1 sc, increase (total 24)
Round 4 - 2 sc, increase (total 32)
Round 5 - 3 sc, increase (total 40)
Round 6 - 4 sc, increase (total 48)
Round 7 - 5 sc, increase (total 56)
Round 8 onwards - the number of sc before the increase goes up by 1 (the total number of stitches goes up by 8)
Part 2: repeat rounds (these will build the length/sides of your organiser)
First repeat round only - 1 sc in the back loops of every stitch to make the sides go upwards
Next repeat rounds (any number of rounds you want) - 1 sc one every stitch
Ss then fasten off to end your work
To make the drawstrings for the pouch - make a slip knot then chain 40-90, fasten off & pull to tighten, use your hook to thread this long piece around the top of your pouch (in the top second row by skipping 2 stitches), tie a knot to close the top of the pouch and tie a bow
2. Heart-shaped tray
Follow this tutorial for the demonstrations to make the base: https://youtu.be/Ki1pc6_M-8M
Please also watch the tips in the organiser video to make sure you understand the steps.
To make the sides of the heart go upwards - 1 sc in the front loops of every stitch
Crochet one more round of 1 sc in every stitch to make the side a bit taller, ss then fasten off to end your work
3. Square/rectangle-shaped organiser with divider
Make a slip knot then chain the length you want for the base. Crochet rounds of sc until you have the length you want for the base.
If you're making a square shape - same measurements for the width and length (use a ruler or tape measure)
If you're making a rectangle shape - shorter chain width and longer length with more rows
To start making the sides - sc all around the piece (place a marker in the first stitch so you can track where your round ends and the next round starts)
To build the length of the sides - 1 sc in every stitch (do as many rounds as you want)
Ss then fasten off to end your work
To make the divider - ss in a straight line on the base then fasten off, attach your yarn in the first ss then chain 1 and sc in the same stitch, sc in every stitch to make the first row, crochet rows of sc until the divider is the same length as the sides, fasten off and attach the corners of the divider to a stitch on the sides with a knot
